Does inner turmoil hold us back or push our boundaries and help us grow?
Congrats to Yasmin and her beautiful new baby girl Amelia Dale-Gosper. Cant wait to meet her!We had fun with her a few weeks back before capturing her and her bump in our studio :)

Last Sunday I hooked up with Kat Watson from Katastrophic Events - http://www.katastrophicevents.com.au/ and her friend Rachel Curnow to do a remake of a photo we all liked. It was a portrait of a girl wearing Mexican death mask makeup (at least thats what we were calling it) on a harshly blue grey background. The original was quite desaturated but I quite like the blown out colors of my image.Something different on this wet and rainy Thursday evening :)
A while back in 2011 we did a shoot with a good friend of ours, Alana Lee, a musician. These are the final images from the shoot.
A couple of friends and I went along to Darlo bar's 700 Photos evening where they fill the bars upstairs rooms with strange and wonderful scenes acted out by strange and wonderful people while about 700 photographers try not to suffocate under their own sweaty heat to get a image. Its a weird night but you get to meet some good people (all sweaty) with cameras filled wit images almost like your own but each uniquely different. Cant wait to see what other people have captured.
On the 18th of May Artof2 Designs were asked to join Brewer Mark & Brewer Scotty of the Rocks Brewing Co, at their Rocks based pub, the iconic Harts Pub. The boys were having their first “Beergustation”. Yup, you read that correctly a “Beergustation”. A feast of food served over several courses, all perfectly matched to a devine boutique beer.
As you can imagine, Anton was in seventh heaven......photography, food & beer all packaged into one evening!
The boys made us immediately welcome, chasing the winter chills away with our first glass of specially selected beer and introducing us to the whole team including Head Chef Paul Wightwick.
Paul had pulled together a fantastic feast of 8 courses which included my favourite, the Oyster Beignets and Anton’s favourite, beer sorbet.
The conversation flowed easily between the 25 guests, which included Beer connoisseurs Chris & Chris from Singapore, Bushtucker chef, Gourmet Greg, a few expert brewers and little me with my camera in hand.
As each course arrived, Mark would give us a brief rundown on the history of the beer, discuss some tasting points and why that beer had been matched with that particular dish.
We enjoyed ourselves so much, that we have been back to Hart’s a few times since and I have come to particularly enjoy their Cider & a portion of the Rock poppers all to myself!
Head Chef Paul has just put together their new winter menu, but if you want to spoil yourself with a real treat, get yourself booked in for the next Beergustation on 22 June. Bookings close on Friday, so you had better be quick!
A few weeks ago a friend and I wondered over to the old White Bay Sydney Power Station during its open day to snap a few pix of an icon I have driven past on numerous occasions but never had the motivation to break into. Well this time was different! Except we had permission and so did about 2000 other people. For the first time in 30 years it was open to the public and photographers alike. The place was swarming with photographers with all range of experience and gear ranging from iPhones and point and shoot to medium and large format cameras. To be honest I think the outside of the building was more interesting than the interior but there are a couple of brilliant dials and decaying monitoring equipment that is just too much fun to not take pics of.
We were just messing around with a camp light that I found at the $2 shop in Newtown. It was a $6 camping light that burnt out 2 days later while we were at a music festival but it has given me inspiration to build my own.
Ring light not camp light :P
