Architectural photography is about telling a story. One that the architect and designers have been collaborating on throughout the birth and construction of a project, to tell with form and lines.
As a photographer, it is my job to capture that story in moments and pieces and as a whole.
It can sometimes take a number of visits to a site to discover the best time of day to photograph a building. It is also very dependent on the weather and season as plants and clouds can create a very different image depending on what they are doing.
Showcasing an interior for advertising or showing the design features for an interior designer requires an understanding of what they are trying to achieve. Each assignment begins with clear communication and a complete understanding of your brief. All of that before a camera is taken out of the bag.
